When in Turku

June 29, 2011

This will likely be the least cycling-related post thus far, but I’m looking for an excuse to show my kids (hi guys–I love you!) Turku Castle, which I toured this afternoon during a lull in the conference. Unlike many of the castles my son and I visited in England a couple of years ago, Turku Castle is still intact, which allows visitors to see the various generations of construction. If you’re ever in the neighborhood, it’s well worth the visit. Video of the castle’s bailey, and then a few pics (okay: just pics–anyone know how to upload videos from an iPod?). I thought my littlest would like to see the children’s beds, since she still seems quite pleased with her own.
