Third Ride

Today’s Ride: 20km—Mineral Springs loop

Weather: Sunny, cool

Because it’s just too nice not to ride. Third day in a row: 115, 80, 20. It was more a juts get out and spin kind of morning. No heavy gears today, but a morning to get out and enjoy a bit of fresh air on the bike. And stop for coffee on the way home. I did, however, manage the horseshoe turn at Mineral Springs rather well. Wide into the sharp turn and descent, downshifting at the right time so as to not interrupt the flow along the brief straight, and then leaning into the sharp turn and climb out of the horseshoe. This is tricky because of some nasty cracks in the road and two blind corners—you almost need the whole road to execute it perfectly, but I managed to stay in my lane and use all of it without cars coming the other way.
